Bioethics Education International (BEI) invites participants, students, and professionals across the globe to attend the Online Spring School to be held on March 25-30, 2024.
CURRICULUM
The spring program includes a series of lectures and seminars, film screenings, and guest speakers.
FACULTY
The Online Spring School 2024 faculty will include notable scholars and experts who will lecture and conduct seminars on current and futuristic topics related to bioethics, global health, and biosciences.
FINAL FORUM
All participants will have the opportunity to engage in discourse over a topic of interest in break-out rooms on the final day of the online program. A selected leader will present the conclusions of each group to the final open forum.
PUBLICATION
In collaboration with the Canadian Journal of Bioethics / Revue canadienne de bioéthique (a bilingual open-access bioethics journal), we are planning a special issue to include submissions from participants, to be revised and submitted during the Fall of 2023 first to Dr. Ana Lita.
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
As per the World Bank Classification, participants from the developing world may apply for a partial scholarship. Partial Scholarship applicants must include a 300 word statement describing what they will gain from the online spring program and their future aspirations.
Partial Scholarships Application Deadline: Jan 15th, 2024
All participants are encouraged to seek financial assistance from their home educational institutions to cover registration fees.
CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION
At the end of the Online Spring School program, all participants will receive a certificate of graduation. To receive this certificate, attendance of the online program is mandatory.
UNIVERSITY CREDITS
Undergraduate and graduate students should inquire about receiving credits from their own educational institutions. Usually, a student may receive 2 course credits. We can provide a document outlining the total program hours, including a list of all lectures, seminars, and other activities, as well as an overall program evaluation of the respective participant.
